I bought this jacket (black and fluorescent) to replace an old Frank Thomas one. As soon as I took it out of the box I was really impressed with the overall quality. There are so many features of this jacket, like 5 different air vents, which can be opened extra wide with fasteners. Also, size adjusters on the arms, waist, hip and cuffs, which allow the jacket to hug you nicely - especially handy for when it gets colder. It's got loads of pockets inside and out, so perfect for touring. The rain hood is handy too, having never had one before. It's a soft material covering your head and a waterproof area around your neck, which should stop the rain getting in, or the cold wind licking around any gaps in your neck scarf. It'll be a good alternative to a balaclava. Overall, it looks really smart and more expensive than it actually is. I've only used it on an average July day, so can't comment on the waterproof or insulating properties yet. I have high hopes though.
Just received this in double quick time. This is an amazing jacket a Ride magazine best buy.it is easy to see why.The price is very sensible the quality is very good.
I love this jacket. Fantastic price and loads of features. I've used it over the winter and it's kept me both warm and dry. I ordered a small - Fit's like a glove - I'm 5' 8" and medium build. I really like the collar - I often find jackets like this feel like they throttle me when done up but this feels so comfortable. The vents look like they may actually work too as each has a popper that pulls them open. The armour in the elbows is fitted to the outer of the sleeve making removal far easier than fishing around in the sleeve to pull it out. I'm looking forward to seeing how it feels during the simmer months with the liner removed and the vents open. If your a brand snob then go for your super expensive Rukka or Halverssons - BUt if like many of us you're on a budget this jacket is a great buy. In fact buy two and your still £600 shy of Rukka's finest !!
